The Artist
Art That Speaks
for the Scene
Long before Terry Kneeshaw began painting the shirts that tell the history of football clubs, another great passion had already left its mark on him: Northern Soul. For Terry it has never been simply a style of music — it is the sound of youth, friendship, freedom and belonging.
His paintings celebrate the records, venues, clothes, dance moves and memories that gave the movement its identity — not simply pictures of Northern Soul, but collections of memories brought together on canvas.
